YOUR MONEY
MAKES A NOISE

Cha-Ching lives in your Mac's menu bar and tells you the second someone pays you. Stripe, PayPal, Shopify and RevenueCat in one live feed.

No dashboard. No tab you forget to close. No refreshing at traffic lights.

Connects to Stripe PayPal Shopify RevenueCat

Free to set up · Pro from $4.99/month · Requires macOS 15.0 or later

He was answering emails.
Then the machine paid out.

Still shipping.

This category has a history of apps that launch, get loved, and then quietly stop. If you've been burned by one, that's the whole reason this exists.

Been using something that stopped updating?

You're not imagining it. Several menu bar payment apps in this space haven't shipped a meaningful update in years — CashNotify's own site still lists version 3.7.0. They work until an API changes or macOS moves, and then they don't.

Cha-Ching is actively developed, built for macOS 15 and later, and updated as the platforms change. If you're migrating, everything works the way you'd expect: connect your keys, get your feed, done.

The whole thing, in the corner of your screen.

Today's total sits in the menu bar. Click it and you get the full feed: who paid, how much, which platform, how long ago. That's the entire product.

What it actually does.

Seven things. All of them in the menu bar, none of them requiring a browser.

Live revenue

Today's total sits in the menu bar and updates on its own. Glance up, get the number, carry on.

Instant alerts

A notification the moment a payment clears. Refunds and chargebacks too, so nothing surprises you later.

One unified feed

Stripe, PayPal and Shopify side by side in a single timeline instead of three separate logins.

Filter & search

By platform, event type or custom date range. Find that strange refund from March in seconds.

Real analytics

Daily, weekly and monthly. Compare processors and see which one is quietly eating your margin.

Keys stay yours

API keys live in the macOS Keychain, synced through Apple's own end-to-end encrypted iCloud Keychain — never a server we run. There is no Cha-Ching server, full stop.

Works everywhere you do

Install on a second Mac, sign in with the same Apple ID, and your accounts, credentials and revenue history are just there. Nothing to reconnect, nothing to re-type.

No server. No kidding.

Cha-Ching talks straight from your Mac to Stripe, PayPal and Shopify. Your revenue never touches a machine we own, because we don't own one. Credentials live in the macOS Keychain and sync between your own Macs through Apple's iCloud Keychain — the same encrypted mechanism Safari uses for saved passwords, not a Cha-Ching server. The app runs inside Apple's App Sandbox and every request uses TLS. It is a deeply boring privacy policy, and that is entirely the point.

Questions, obviously.

I'm coming from CashNotify. Will this feel familiar?

Yes. Same idea — payments in your menu bar — connected the same way, with your own API keys from each platform. Cha-Ching adds Shopify alongside Stripe and PayPal, runs natively on macOS 15 and later, and is actively maintained.

Which platforms does it support?

Stripe, PayPal and Shopify, plus RevenueCat for app subscription revenue. You connect each one with your own API key from that platform's dashboard.

Where do my API keys live?

In the macOS Keychain, encrypted by the system. If you use Cha-Ching on more than one Mac, they sync between them through Apple's own iCloud Keychain — the same mechanism Safari uses for saved passwords. They're only ever used to talk to the platform they belong to; there's no Cha-Ching server in the middle.

Can you see my revenue?

No. There's no Cha-Ching server and no account to create. The app queries your platforms directly from your Mac and displays the result locally. We have no way to look.

Does it notify me for small payments too?

Yes, and there's no minimum threshold. A $3.50 payment gets announced exactly like a $3,500 one. Depending on your temperament that's either the best or the worst thing about it.

What do I get for free?

Install it, connect your accounts and look around. Pro unlocks live tracking and instant notifications.

How do I cancel?

System Settings → your Apple ID → Media & Purchases → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; Pro stays active until the period you've paid for ends.

What do I need to run it?

A Mac running macOS 15.0 (Sequoia) or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.

Okay, but what's with the cat?

He works here. He is normally very composed.
